WHAT IS "SPLUMA"?

‘SPLUMA’ is the acronym that refers to the “Spatial Planning and Land Use Management Act 16 of 2013” that came into operation on the 1st of July 2015. The SPLUMA empowers and directs municipalities in South Africa to enact by-laws with regards to town-planning, land use and land development matters within their areas of jurisdictions.
